New European champions, teams Spain and Norway were greeted with great applause and emotions after returning from the European Championship. They have celebrated a big success together with their fans.

Spanish men’s team lost the final match against Croatia, at the last EURO in Lloret de Mar which they hosted. That defeat was an additional motivation for players to win the European crown as soon as possible. And they succeeded this time, in Croatia.

Norwegian women’s team won the bronze medal at the last European and World Championship. They made a step further and topped the first place at the just finished EURO. Among the players of the Norwegian team is Maren Aardahl, who has been named as the most valuable player (MVP) of the Championship.

The winners of this year’s European competition, Spain and Norway, have already hosted the EURO. So, these countries know the importance of organization of sports events like this one. The last EURO was held in Spanish Lloret de Mar, in 2015, while the Norway hosted beach handball players in Larvik, in 2009.

While Spanish and Norwegian teams are enjoying a well-deserved celebration, other players, fans and beach handball friends are preparing for new challenges and competitions.
