The men’s team was the only one who managed to beat champions, team Croatia, at the last European Championship in Spain in 2015. Serbia will compete only in the men’s event at the upcoming EURO.

Head coach of the men’s senior team is Daniel Petkovic. His team believes that they can be among the top teams in Europe. „Our goal is to qualify for the World Championship in Sochi next year. Most of our players play the indoor handball and the season is not over yet, so we don’t have too much time to prepare for the EURO. Our group is tough, but hopefully, we can be among first three teams in the group. Key players are Marko Pavlovic and Misa Djukanovic“.

Marko Pavlović is a specialist who is also one of the best beach handball players in the world. He was the MVP player of the EURO in Denmark, in 2013. Pavlović also had the highest number of assists and reached points in total (180) in Lloret de Mar, in 2015.

Serbian junior team will play the European Championship for the first time. Ivan Drenovac is the head coach of the team and every victory at the upcoming EURO will be a great success for them. „Our goal is advancing to the next round. We have to respect each team in our group, because most of our players are here for the first time. Key players are left wing Ivan Horvat and right winger Andrija Alavanja“, stated in the team.

Junior’s team will play their first match against Germany.
