After the European Championship in Zagreb, Poland will host the World Games in Wroclaw. This upcoming championship is an excellent opportunity for Polish players to prepare for the games that they will play in front of local public.

This year’s World Games are the first that Poles will play. With the exception of the World Games, the Poles haven’t been present on World Championships, while they were playing at European Championships several times. Polish players achieved the best placement in EURO in 2009 in Norway when they won the eighth place.

Until now, one of the most experienced players in the team has been Adrian Fiodor, who is also a real leader on the court. Except for the beach handball, Fiodor was playing handball in a hall.

In women’s team, one of the most important Polish players was Lidia Zakowska who was one of the best assistants in Lloret de Mar last year. Also, there was Marta Lyszczyk, who has started playing beach handball six years ago. She has a varied shot that surprises opponents.

How the Poles will play on sandy courts in Zagreb, we will find out in their first games. Men’s team will play against Hungary while women’s team will play against Sweden.
